ACCOMPANYING

If you need a pianist for competitions, auditions, recordings,  college pre-screening recordings, performances, or chamber music, I'm happy to help! I work year-round with musicians of all ages and levels. My specialty is piano concerto accompaniment, piano ensemble, and music for strings, although I am comfortable working with other instruments as well as voice.

Events I have played for include:

  • Violin, viola, cello, and flute studio recitals
  • College/graduate degree recitals
  • High school graduation recitals
  • Master classes
  • Concerto competitions (MTAC, USOMC, CAPMT, SFSYO, CYS, SJYS, Livermore-Amador Symphony)
  • Instrumental competitions

HOW IT WORKS

Please fill out the form on my Contact page and try to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Event date, time, and location
  • Repertoire
  • Approximate rehearsal timeline and number of rehearsals desired
  • Preferred location(s) for rehearsals (Fremont, Berkeley, or other location)

Requests should be made at least 3 weeks in advance of the performance or recording date; anything after that will be subject to rush fees at my discretion.

Rehearsals typically happen in my studios in Fremont and Berkeley depending on your preference; piano concerto rehearsals are limited to Fremont. I can meet elsewhere for rehearsals and recordings for an additional travel fee.

Please bring your own equipment if you would like to record in my studio.

Being able to work with a pianist is an important skill for all musicians to have. In working with me, you will also be developing your abilities to rehearse and communicate effectively in a professional setting. You are encouraged to share your musical ideas with me whenever possible so that together, we can develop a satisfying interpretation for your performance or recording.

Parents are welcome to observe our rehearsals silently and will be asked to leave if they are too much of a distraction.
